1. How long have you been a member of AM&AA, and what leadership roles, if any, have you held during that time?
I have been a proud member of AM&AA for 5 years. During this time, I have served on the Board of the Dallas Chapter, and my business partners serve on the Rocky Mountain board. My membership has been instrumental in expanding my knowledge, creativity, and connections in the mergers and acquisitions space, which has significantly shaped our approach to reaching and serving more clients.
2. What drives your commitment to your craft and industry?
My commitment is driven by our clients and guided by our core values. We start by leading with compassion, understanding that each business owner’s journey is unique. This allows us to provide tailored guidance that fits their specific needs. Transparency is key, and we manage expectations with clear communication, ensuring every deal runs smoothly and gets through all the hurdles that pop up during the process. One story that always stands out to me is a seller who was stressed while trying to manage her business and could not get pregnant for 5 years. After we helped her sell, she and her husband were able to settle down, and soon after, she became pregnant and started her new dream of having a family. Moments like that, where we empower clients to move on to their next chapter, are what drive me and our team to continually grow and evolve to better serve them.
3. What is one insight or piece of advice you wish you had known when you first started in the industry?
Our success often becomes someone else’s miracle, helping them achieve their goals, dreams, or new beginnings. What might seem like a routine transaction to us could be life-changing for our clients. Consistency in delivering high-quality service and support is what builds trust and long-term success.
4. What is top of mind for you in your business right now?
Right now, I’m focused on finding creative ways to navigate an ever-changing market. A key focus is discovering new strategies to attract more buyers and expedite deal closings, ensuring the best possible outcomes and prices for our sellers. At the same time, I’m committed to building the best team in the country, we are over 100 people and growing. We are all working towards delivering exceptional service and results for our clients.
5. How has being a member of a trade association contributed to your business growth? story.)
Being a member of AM&AA has significantly contributed to our business growth by fostering continuous learning and professional development. Currently, 14 members of our team have earned the CMAA designation, which has not only enhanced their skills but also strengthened our overall service offering. The association has also provided a valuable peer group, allowing us to connect with like-minded professionals and exchange ideas. These relationships have opened doors to new opportunities and collaborations, ultimately driving our team’s growth and success.
6. What legacy or impact do you most desire to be known for in the industry?
I want to be a leader in promoting transparency, compassion, growth, and clear communication across the entire industry. My goal is to set the standard for how business should be conducted, ensuring that entrepreneurs and business owners experience smooth, successful transitions. I strive to be known for helping people achieve the American dream by empowering them to navigate their most significant transitions with confidence and achieve their goals.
