Mr. Geckil is a Partner with the Mergen Group LLC. He is currently a Managing Director at the economic research and financial consulting firm Econ One Research. He has an extensive background in economics, corporate finance, investments, and valuation, in practitioner and academic capacity. His work primarily includes M&A advisory, economic and financial analyses, business valuation, strategy consulting, risk analyses, and industry studies. ​ Ilhan has about 20 years of consulting and advisory experience. His work has been applied in a range of industries, with significant focus on automotive, consumer products, hotel, franchise, real estate, retail, beer, wine and spirits sectors. He is the author of Applied Game Theory and Strategic Behavior, CRC Press, 2009. ​ Prior to founding Mergen Group, Ilhan worked as the Director of Strategy and Business Valuation at Anderson Economic Group (AEG), an economic consulting and research company. Before AEG, he worked as a Consultant at BBK, Ltd., a consulting firm which specializes in turnaround management, strategy, and corporate finance; and Analyst at PDF Corporate Finance, an advisory firm which specializes in corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Ilhan holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey. He lives in New York, U.S.
