Maintaining your CM&AA designation is now simpler to manage.
Upon completion of the CM&AA exam, you must maintain your AM&AA membership and complete 4 hours of CPE every 12 months.
The CM&AA course counts for your first year of CPE. We will contact you for your initial 4 hours of CPE 24 months after you took the exam.
Continuing to maintain your CM&AA allows other middle-market M&A professionals to know the caliber of your expertise and work. You will be included in the CM&AA registry (currently under construction) and may use the CM&AA designation in your post-nominal initials, marketing, and communications.
If you do not maintain your AM&AA membership, you will no longer be listed on the CM&AA registry, and you must cease and desist using a CM&AA designation in your marketing and communications.
For your yearly CPE hours, you can use our OnDemand platform AM&AA Ed|ge and take Executive Education courses that will complement your CM&AA coursework. We will be able to track those hours for you on the platform, and so your CPE reporting will be worry free.
You can also attend AM&AA Winter or Summer Conference which both offer a minimum of 6 CPE hours. We will track your CPE hours from conference on AM&AA Ed|ge as well, simplifying your reporting.
If you choose to acquire CPE through another source, you will need to submit those hours to us 30 days before your CM&AA test anniversary.
