Christine Hollinden, MBA, CPSM, CEPA, CM&AA, has been a member of AM&AA since 2016. She leads the Houston Chapter and was voted Member of the Year at the 2025 Summer Conference.
How did you first get involved with AM&AA, and what drew you to the organization?
A client of my firm was involved in middle-market M&A work and was an active member in AM&AA. That was back in 2013. Since our firm works exclusively with professional services, it seemed like a good fit. My first conference was in 2013. The camaraderie, support, and dedication to expanding and improving the industry were palpable. Since that time, I have never looked back.
What impact has AM&AA membership had on your professional growth or network?
My AM&AA membership and role as Chapter leader for the Houston Chapter has had a major impact on my business, as well as my personal and professional growth. Everywhere one looks at AM&AA, there’s an opportunity to learn something new. From expanding my knowledge during the CM&AA to forging new friendships via my CM&AA cohorts, chapter meetings, and national conferences, AM&AA continues to give in so many ways. I have also had the privilege of speaking at various conferences, which has challenged me as a professional to deliver best practices and the highest level of thought leadership.
What has been your most meaningful experience as an AM&AA member?
The most meaningful experience as an AM&AA member has been twofold. First of all, being at the helm of relaunching the Houston Chapter and surrounded by a leadership team that continuously strives for the best. Michael Landers, Steve Kesten, Darryl Mazow, William Wu, Jack Chang, Gilbert Cruz, and Erik Konicki – thank you for your dedication, selfless service, and commitment to making the Houston Chapter what it is today. The meaningful relationships across all areas of M&A that spans across this great nation. Middle market companies are the lifeblood of our economy and our communities. Working with professionals who serve that community is rewarding in and of itself.
